A mobile phone concept has just been invented which allows deaf, hard of hearing or speech impaired people to hold real-time, interactive conversations whilst on the move. The Phone is made up by Pratt student Suhyun Kim and the name is "Visual Sound".She is quite concerned about the deaf folks and hard of hearing wants serenity, a sense of freedom and enjoy technology as much as we do.
The Visual Sound is a mobile phone for the hearing marred that converts voice input to text and text input to voice. The design features two handy pillars that scroll sideways to expose the roll-out display. The textphone has a keyboard and display screen, and instead of speaking into a mouthpiece the user can type what they want to say and read the reply from the screen. To communicate, the impaired person feeds in the text onto the touchscreen display, which gets converted to voice simulation for the person on the other end of the phone and vice versa.

The new mobile textphone allows two people to communicate by phone using text in real time. The only drawback of this phone is that the time taken to input the text and converting it to sound. It may dissuade long distance calls, but on the flipside any form of communication is better than being mum!
